Dr. Anthea Henderson (Acting Coordinator & Lecturer)

Anthea Henderson completed her PhD in Communication Studies at CARIMAC in 2007.  Her research focused on local and international brand recognition among Jamaican children, which followed her publication in 1998 titled “Tings or Tangs? Foreign Advertising and its Effects on Jamaican Children.”  She also holds a BA in Media and Communication from the University of the West Indies and another in Liberal Arts from the Ambassador College, USA.   Dr. Henderson currently provides preliminary research support to the students in CARIMAC’s graduate programmes, as well as lectures in both the graduate and undergraduate programmes.

Ms. Ingrid Nicely (Administrative Assistant)

Ingrid Nicely has been employed to the University of the West Indies since 2003.  She holds a first degree in International Relations from the University of the West Indies.  She is responsible for the overall administrative management of the Unit.


Mr. Joseph Martin (Administrative Assistant)

Joseph Martin is the Administrative Assistant in the Graduate Programmes Unit.  His main job functions includes liaising with students and Lecturers, managing student records, and providing support by liasing with the Office of Graduate Studies and Research, Student Records Unit and other relevant Departments.
